MetroTrack ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.

Location Data: When you use live tracking features, we access your device's location to track your metro journey progress. This data is processed locally on your device and is not stored on our servers unless you choose to login.
Authentication Data: If you choose to login, we collect your phone number for authentication via OTP. This is stored securely and used only for login purposes and cloud sync of your trip history and settings.
Email Address: If you subscribe to our beta waitlist or notifications, we collect your email address to send you updates about the app.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve app performance and features.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide live journey tracking functionality
- To send wake-up call reminders and arrival alerts (requires login)

3. Device Permissions

- Foreground Service: To continue tracking when app is in background
4. Data Storage & Security
MetroTrack operates primarily offline. Your journey data, preferences, and ride history are stored locally on your device by default.
If you choose to login, your trip history and settings are synced to our cloud servers for backup and cross-device access. This data is encrypted and accessible only to you.
Email addresses collected for the beta waitlist are stored securely and used only for communication purposes.
5. Data Retention
- Local data: Stored on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data
- Cloud-synced data (if logged in): Retained until you request deletion
- Email addresses: Retained until you unsubscribe from the waitlist
6. Third-Party Services
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. We may use analytics services to understand app usage patterns, but this data is anonymized.
7. Your Rights
